On the past 15th of April, Chemital participated in XIV National and International Congress of Chemical, Food, Environmental and Energy Engineering organized by the University of Puebla, México in which our experts, Guadalupe Limón and Alexandra Roijals imparted the conference “Making safe food. Market needs and preservative proposals.”

The presentation focused on a first part to the review of fundamentals and legislative vocabulary focused on the importance of making safe food for the consumer. In regard to current market trends, the use of preservatives as a method for controlling the development of microorganisms was discussed. Specifically, taking as a reference the microbiota in meat products, the problematic the meat industry faces related to Listeria monocytogenes and lactic acid bacteria, was developed.
The presentation concluded by presenting the different solutions Chemital S.A.U. provides, both for external and internal use, with the aim of guaranteeing food safety.
